General Security FAQs

Answers to the most common questions about how IntelliTrack protects your data: disaster recovery, hosting and encryption, data return on exit, role-based access, and password rules.

Does Barcoding have a disaster recovery plan for IntelliTrack?

Barcoding maintains a disaster recovery program addressing disaster recovery and business continuity management. As part of this program, our disaster recovery plans are subject to periodic testing. Contact your Account Manager for more information about our business continuity and redundancy policies.

Is my data secure?

Your data is securely hosted by Microsoft Azure Services. Data is encrypted at rest and during transport across and between networks.

What happens to my data if I stop being a customer?

Upon termination or expiration of the agreement with Barcoding, customer data is returned and wiped from the system according to Barcoding's documented data management procedures. Please contact your account manager for more information.

Does IntelliTrack support role-based security?

Yes, IntelliTrack supports Role Based Access Control (RBAC). RBAC makes it simple to create, manage and enforce user assignments. A set of permissions are assigned to a role based on the level of access a user type requires, and those roles are then assigned to users. Therefore, different people in your organization can have different privileges and access levels based on job function. This allows you to restrict system access to authorized users as well as control access to services and data.

What are IntelliTrack's password requirements?

User passwords must be at least 6 characters long and contain an uppercase and a lowercase letter, a number and a non-alphanumeric character.
